Every spring break, many of our students choose to spend their spring break spreading God's love and serving God's people. Some years we stay local and focus our service in Maryland, others we travel further away, such as to North Carolina. We often partner with a local organization, such as Habitat for Humanity or the United Methodist Committee on Relief, to build new houses or rebuild homes impacted by natural disasters. Don't worry if you've never held a hammer or worn work gloves before. We'll teach you!
Though our first mission is to act as Christ's hands performing physical acts of service, just as important is building relationships with the local community, each other, and God. Through daily morning devotionals, nightly group discussions, and faithful reflection we grow closer to God and to each other.
Wesley Mission Trips have been some of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences I have ever had! You really get a sense that what you are doing will change someone's life for the better.

Sound like enough fun already? This year, the UD spring break is March 28-April 4, 2020. To register or for more information about the trip, click here. Please contact our Missions Chair Mackenzie at [email protected] or our Devotions Chair Sarah at [email protected] with any questions.
How do we fund the trip?
Through a combination of group fundraisers, participant fees, and generous donations from our supporters.
Participant fees are usually less than $150, but full or partial scholarships are available to any student that needs one! Please contact Campus Pastor Rev. Ward Mesick at [email protected].
Our most popular fundraisers are a fall bake sale and a Super Bowl sub sandwich sale, favorite events of the members of Newark United Methodist Church. We are also pleased to accept direct donations for the mission trip. Make a donation online, or mail to Wesley Foundation, 69 E Main St, Newark, DE 19711. THANK YOU for your support!
