Wesley Spring Break Mission Trip
More info coming!

Before COVID, very spring break, many of our students choose to spend their spring break spreading good works and serving people. This year, we hope to reinstitute this cherished tradition! Some years we would stay, local and focus our service in Maryland: others, we travel further away, such as to North Carolina. We often partner with a local organization, such as Habitat for Humanity or the UM Committee on Relief, to build new houses or rebuild homes impacted by natural disasters. Don't worry if you've never held a hammer or worn work gloves before. We'll teach you!

Though our mission is to perform physical acts of service, it is just as important to build relationships with the local community and with each other. Through daily morning devotion, nightly group discussions, and faithful reflection we live out the John Wesley motto of doing all the good you can for as many as you can.

Wesley Mission Trips have been some of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences I have ever had! You really get a sense that what you are doing will change someone's life for the better.

Sound like enough fun already? Stay tuned!

How do we fund the trip?

Through a combination of group fundraisers, participant fees, and generous donations from our supporters.

Participant fees are usually less than $150, but full or partial scholarships are available to any student that needs one! Please contact Campus Pastor Rev. Ward Mesick at [email protected].

Our most popular fundraisers are a fall bake sale and a Super Bowl sub sandwich sale, favorite events of the members of Newark United Methodist Church. We are also pleased to accept direct donations for the mission trip. Make a donation online, or mail to Wesley Foundation, 69 E Main St, Newark, DE 19711. THANK YOU for your support!
